About Us

About Us

Master Builders Northern Territory is committed to supporting the success of our members and strengthening the building and construction industry across the Territory. Every day, we advocate for the people, policies and opportunities that enable our members to grow, invest, employ and deliver the projects that build our communities.

As the only industry association representing every sector of the construction industry, Master Builders NT provides a unified voice for businesses operating across the commercial, industrial, civil, engineering and residential sectors. Our membership includes builders, subcontractors, trade contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, consultants and industry professionals.

Our advocacy is evidence-based, practical and driven by policy—not politics. We work closely with industry, government and stakeholders to address challenges, remove barriers and create opportunities that support productivity, investment and workforce growth.

We are proud of the outcomes we achieve on behalf of our members, helping to create a stronger construction industry and a stronger Northern Territory economy. Through our advocacy, training, industry engagement and member services, we are building the foundations for future growth, jobs and prosperity across the Territory

Master Builders NT has been part of the Federation since 1950.

From 1980 – 2009 Master Builders NT changed the trading name to the Territory Construction Association (TCA) in an effort to provide Territory identification to members.   With the direction change towards national identification occurring with COAG, and other national trends, it was decided to revert in August 2009 to the original trading name of Master Builders NT.

The Master Builders logo is a very powerful brand, not only commercially, but also from a lobbying perspective.  It is well recognized by clients because the brand stands for quality and integrity which is backed up by a Code of Conduct and endorsed by the ACCC.

The brand also has value politically.  Recognition is given by both Federal and State governments in appointing Master Builders to high level government committees and boards, in a wide range of areas, to provide expertise and to represent the interests of the building and construction industry.
